Despite the patient and his family repeatedly requesting for a doctor or qualified staff, the hospital employee continued performing the ECG, seemingly unconcerned. The man watched YouTube tutorials in silence, even as the video of the incident was being recorded, demonstrating a shocking disregard for proper medical protocol.
The person filming the video alleged that the nursing staff is also involved. The attendant, meanwhile, admitted to not knowing how to perform an ECG but explained that since no employees were on duty because of Diwali, he was compelled to attempt the procedure himself.
After the video went viral on social media, principal BS Jodha of the attached medical college said that the incident is under investigation. He confirmed that appropriate action will be taken against those responsible.
