Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang shared a charming story about how he impressed his wife, Lori, when they first met at the Oregon State University.

Speaking at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology last week, where he received an honorary degree, Huang reflected on their early days, Business Insider reports.

“I was the youngest kid in class,” Huang said, recalling his experience at Oregon State University. “There were 250 students and only three girls.” At the time, Huang was just 17, while Lori was 19.

Huang revealed that their relationship began with Sunday study dates. “I walked up to her and said, ‘Do you want to see my homework?’” he recounted. He then made her an ambitious promise: “If you do homework with me every Sunday, I promise you, you will get straight As.” Lori agreed, and both spent their Sundays studying together.

Huang also shared a bold declaration he made to Lori back then as he told her he would become a CEO by the time he was 30. True to his word, Huang founded Nvidia at 30, establishing the company as a global leader in technology.

The couple married five years after their first meeting, according to Huang’s biography on the OSU College of Engineering website. They have two children, Madison and Spencer.
