  • The Phone 4b is rumoured to come with Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, dual cameras
  • The Phone 4b will likely be cheaper than Phone 4a

Nothing is gearing up to launch a new smartphone in India. After the success of the Phone 4a series launched earlier this year, the London-based phonemaker has confirmed that the upcoming device will be called the Phone 4b – marking the start of a new B series of smartphones.

The company has confirmed that the Phone 4b will launch in India on July 7, with a Flipkart microsite already being live. But what can you expect from the Nothing Phone 4b? While the company has not shared a lot just yet, we have some clues about what to expect thanks to leaks online. And here are all the details.

Where does the Nothing Phone 4b fit in?

But before we begin, we need to understand where the Phone 4b fits in Nothing’s line-up. Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis has confirmed that the company will not be launching a CMF smartphone this year due to rising memory costs. This has likely opened the space for a Nothing-branded smartphone that can sit below the Phone 4a series.

Some leaks claim that the Phone 4b may actually be the smartphone that was initially going to be the successor to the CMF Phone 2 Pro.

Akis Evangelidis revealed where the Nothing B series will fit in.

But you may recall that Nothing did launch a Phone 3a Lite in 2025 that sat below the vanilla Phone 3a. However, it seems that the B series will likely replace the Lite device in the company’s portfolio. Akis Evangelidis wrote on X, “[B series] avoids overusing suffixes and provides a clearer naming structure as the portfolio expands.”

Nothing Phone 4b design

Nothing is known for having a unique design approach to its smartphones. And it is likely that this will also be the case for the Phone 4b. The company has shown sketches of the Phone 4b online that hint towards a similar transparent look that we have become accustomed to with Nothing devices.

The sketch also seems to have a pill-shaped camera module. And a rectangular element that looks quite similar to the Glyph Bar we saw on the Nothing Phone 4a.

While we do not know what the device looks like in the flesh, some users online have imagined the Phone 4b design based on the sketch.

Some have imagined how the Phone 4b might look based on the sketch, though the actual design remains under wraps for now.

Nothing Phone 4b chipset and performance

Design is not the only aspect we know about. The Nothing Phone 4b allegedly surfaced on the benchmarking platform Geekbench with the model number A009P.

As per the Geekbench results for this purported device, the Nothing Phone 4b likely uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, which is a 4nm-based processor. The device scores 1,088 points in single-core and 3,155 multi-core on Geekbench.

To give you some context, the Nothing Phone 3a Lite, which uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, scores around 986 points in single-core and 2,883 points in multi-core.

The Geekbench listing also shows that the Phone 4b will likely come with 8GB of RAM. And the device will likely run on Android 16.

Nothing Phone 4b battery and cameras

When it comes to battery life, tipster Yogesh Brar says that the Phone 4b will come with the “same battery size as other models.” For context, the Nothing Phone 4a has a 5,400mAh cell. Like other Nothing smartphones, you can expect that the Phone 4b may not get a charger in the box.

Now that we have covered the design and battery, let’s talk about cameras. While the initial teaser from Nothing hinted towards a single camera on the rear, the latest sketches point towards a dual rear camera setup.

It is likely that the main camera could be complemented by an ultrawide sensor. Though we do not have any concrete information on the selfie shooter on the front.

Speaking of the front, there is little information available regarding the display on the Phone 4b. Though you can expect an AMOLED panel, similar to what we saw on the Phone 3a Lite and the CMF Phone 2 Pro.

Nothing Phone 4b launch and expected price in India

The Nothing Phone 4b will launch in India on July 7 at 3:30 pm. While the company has remained tight-lipped in terms of pricing, the Phone 4b will be cheaper than the Phone 4a.

Leaks indicate that the Nothing Phone 4b could cost as much as Rs 5,000 less than the Phone 4a. At the time of writing, the Nothing Phone 4a starts at Rs 37,999 in India. This means that we may see the Phone 4b be priced somewhere around Rs 32,999 if the reports are accurate.
