While schools from Singapore, China, and Australia dominate the top slots, Indian institutes such as IIM Bengaluru and ISB remain competitive due to their industry connections and executive-level programmes.

The data shows that Indian schools perform better in career outcomes, while areas such as diversity and global exposure remain relatively lower compared to global leaders.

RANKING METHODOLOGY: KEY PARAMETERS

QS evaluates executive MBA programmes based on five main indicators:

  • Career outcomes: Salary growth, promotions, and senior roles
  • Employer reputation: Perception among global recruiters
  • Thought leadership: Research output and academic influence
  • Executive profile: Experience level of participants
  • Diversity: Gender and international representation

These indicators aim to measure both academic output and industry relevance.

WHAT THE RANKINGS INDICATE

The QS Executive MBA Rankings 2026 highlight a continued gap between top global institutions and emerging markets, while also showing steady progress by Indian schools.

With one institute in the top 15 and several within the top 50, India’s presence is expanding, though uneven across indicators.

The data suggests that while Indian institutes are competitive in outcomes and employability, further focus on research output, diversity, and global exposure may influence future rankings.
