Top New Zealand university announces Rs 16.6 lakh scholarship for Indian students

The University of Auckland in New Zealand has opened applications for its India High Achievers Scholarship, offering up to $20,000 (around Rs 16.6 lakh) for undergraduate or postgraduate students in the 2025 intake.

The University of Auckland has announced its India High Achievers Scholarship, aimed at supporting exceptional Indian students with up to $20,000 (around Rs 16.6 lakh) in tuition fees.

The scholarship is now open for the 2025 intake, offering both undergraduate and postgraduate students the opportunity to study full-time at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• To qualify, applicants must be international students from India. This excludes citizens, permanent residents, or resident visa holders of New Zealand and Australia
• Eligible students include those with either a conditional or unconditional offer to enrol in undergraduate or postgraduate programmes
• Participants in the university’s English Language Academy (ELA) or Summer Start International programme are also eligible
• However, students who have previously studied in New Zealand or are enrolled in specific business master's programs are not eligible for this scholarship
• Additionally, candidates must hold a Grade Point Equivalent (GPE) of at least 6.00 and be enrolled full-time in their respective programmes

DEADLINES AND APPLICATION DETAILS

The application deadlines are October 24, 2024, for Semester One and April 1, 2025, for Semester Two.

Successful candidates will be selected by the university’s committee and notified eight weeks after the closing dates.

Students should ensure their online applications are completed by the deadline, including all required sections, references, or endorsements.
