Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) recently concluded the first phase of its campus placements for the 2024-25 academic year, marking another successful milestone for the institution.
This phase saw the highest annual packages soar to Rs 24.5 lakh per annum, with Cisco and Homecentre Landmark offering the top packages of Rs 24 lakh and Rs 24.5 lakh, respectively.
A range of lucrative offers highlighted the first phase, including â¹18 lakh per annum from Optum, Rs 16 lakh from McKinley Rice, Rs14 lakh from Zenon Analytics, Rs 11.89 lakh from Accenture, Rs 11.5 lakh from ICICI Bank, Rs 9 lakh from TCS, Rs 6.22 lakh from AtkinsRealis, and Rs 6 lakh from L&T.
These offers reflect the university’s growing reputation as a hub of talent and excellence.
Prof Rahela Farooqi, Honorary Director of the University Placement Cell, expressed her pride in the achievements of JMI students during this phase.
She commended the university’s consistent efforts in bridging the gap between academia and industry. “The placements this year are a testament to the hard work of our students and the proactive efforts of the placement cell,” she said.
TOP COMPANIES AND SECTORS IN JAMIA PLACEMENTS
This year, the placement drive attracted over 40 prominent companies from various sectors, including technology, finance, consulting, and engineering. Participants included industry giants such as Cisco, Optum, Schneider Electric, Siemens, IBM India, HSBC Technology, Accenture, TCS, L&T, and AtkinsRealis.
The diverse representation of companies showcased the university’s ability to cater to a wide range of professional domains.
Adding to the excitement, more renowned companies like Yamaha, Hexaview Technologies, C-DOT, Jacobs Solution India, ZS Associates, Steel Strips Wheel Limited, Baby Shop – Landmark Group, and S&P Global are expected to participate in the upcoming phases of recruitment.
These firms are set to provide students with an even broader array of career opportunities in the second phase of placements.
JAMIA PREPARES FOR PHASE 2 PLACEMENTS
Preparations for the second phase, slated to begin in January 2025, are already in full swing, aiming to further enhance the placement success of the Batch of 2025.
