Nine arrested after violent dispute took place due to water splashing on biker in Bihar

Patna: A small issue of a water splash escalated to a brutal confrontation between two communities in a village in Begusarai, Bihar. Nine people have been taken into custody in connection with the fight.

The confrontation that has taken place over a silly argument over the splashing of water has been captured in a video and is going viral on the internet. In the video one could witness stone and brick-pelting.

According to the officials the trouble started on Friday as a person took a bath in the open and inadvertently splashed water on the moving motorcyclist and this, although did lead to an argument between two villages that day, did not culminate to this violence on Saturday.

In connection to the ensuing fracas, 5 people had reportedly sustained injuries. Nine people both sides have now been arrested by the police after their intervention into the matter.

The District Magistrate (DM) as well as Superintendent of police have visited the village to probe into the matter as further police reinforcements are provided to quell the clash and the issue of water splashing and keep the village under control.

Further raids are being made to bring all the accused behind the bar.
