Barang: Special arrangements have been made at the Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar of Odisha to protect the animals from the fury of winter. The Nandankanan authorities have taken extensive measures in various enclosures.

Arrangements have been made to prevent the effects of winter in places such as the reptile garden, bird enclosure, chimpanzee and monkey enclosures. Straw and 100 watt bulbs have been installed in the snake enclosures in the reptile garden. As a result, warmth can be maintained in the enclosure.

Similarly, straw, bulbs and room heaters have been arranged in the enclosures of the lizard species. Data loggers have been installed in each reptile garden so that the temperature and humidity of the enclosure can be monitored.

Similarly, blankets have been given to chimpanzees and monkeys. In addition, heaters have been installed in the chimpanzee enclosure. Currently, due to the severe cold, room heaters are being used for a long time.
