Woman beaten to death with stick by husband over marital dispute in Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: In a severe act of domestic homicide, a woman was beaten to death with a stick by her husband in Ghunaghuti pada area in Kantapali of Hansamura in Jharsuguda district. The incident took place on Saturday night.

The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Soudamini Kishan and the accused is her husband 28-year-old Rahul Bagh.

According to sources, the couple had a fight over his extra-marital affair, which escalated into a physical assault after Rahul started beating Soudamini with a stick till she died.

As per sources, Rahul allegedly is having a extra marital affair with for the last two years, which was the main reason behind the couple’s frequent argument for the past few years.

On being informed, the police reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it for postmortem.

Meanwhile, Police has also detained Rahul for further investigation into the case.
