New Delhi: A 4.9 magnitude earthquake shook northern Venezuela this week amid concerns following devastating twin earthquakes this week and subsequent efforts.
The quake on Friday also shook Caracas and the nearby city of Maracay, with locals reporting a recurrence of fear as the country continues rescue efforts and attempts to repair.
It came after two larger earthquakes rocked parts of Venezuela on Tuesday, leaving widespread damage and almost a thousand dead.

Authorities have been placed on high alert as officials work to brace the nation for aftershocks following the disastrous pair that shook on Tuesday as well.
In an effort to help aid the crisis, authorities had previously advised individuals to avoid the wreckage until they were determined to be structurally sound.
