Fortis Healthcare just stepped into Odisha’s healthcare scene in a big way, teaming up with Dion Group through an operations and management agreement. Together, they’re getting ready to build a brand-new, 300-bed multi-specialty hospital in Cuttack. This project merges Fortis’s national medical expertise with Dion’s local infrastructure know-how, aiming to meet the region’s growing need for advanced medical services.

They’re putting this world-class hospital right inside Dion Riverside Township in Trishulia, Cuttack. The investment is sizable—about ₹600 crore (according to Economic Times) and they expect to wrap up construction in around three to three and a half years. Here’s how the work breaks down: Dion Group handles the construction and builds the hospital, while Fortis will take charge of running it and managing all the clinical operations.
This upcoming facility is strategically designed to bridge the gap in local advanced medical services, reducing the need for patients to travel long distances for complex treatments. Dr. Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, Fortis Healthcare’s Managing Director and CEO, says the new hospital will be key to transforming access to advanced specialty care across Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, and surrounding regions. Manoj Sahoo from Dion Group backs this up, saying the partnership fuses Fortis’s clinical strength with Dion’s vision for top-notch healthcare infrastructure. For Odisha, that really means people can get quality medical care much closer to home.
