KIIT University and National Sports University Sign MoU to Advance Sports Education and Research

The School of Sports and Yogic Sciences, KIIT Deemed to be University, and the National Sports University (NSU), Manipur, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen academic cooperation, sports science research, student and faculty exchange, yoga education, high-performance sports development and knowledge exchange.
The MoU was signed by Prof. (Dr.) Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT, KISS and KIMS, on behalf of KIIT Deemed to be University, and Mr. Daljit Singh Chawdhary, Vice-Chancellor, National Sports University, Manipur, in the presence of Prof. Shyam Sundar Rath, Professor NSU , Manipur, and Prof. (Dr.) Gaganendu Dash, Director General – Sports and Yoga, School of Sports and Yogic Sciences, KIIT University.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Achyuta Samanta said that this collaboration marks one of the first such institutional initiatives in sports education and research between KIIT and Indian sports universities. He expressed confidence that the partnership would set a precedent for collaborative academic exchange, sports science research, athlete development and knowledge-sharing programmes among universities across the country, thereby strengthening India’s higher education and sporting ecosystem.
Mr. Daljit Singh Chawdhary appreciated KIIT’s world-class sports ecosystem and lauded the visionary leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Achyuta Samanta in promoting the holistic development of youth through the seamless integration of sports and education.

He stated that Prof. Samanta’s model of nurturing academic excellence alongside sporting achievement serves as an inspiration for institutions across the country. He further expressed confidence that the collaboration would create valuable opportunities for students, researchers, coaches and athletes of both institutions through academic exchange, collaborative research, innovation and high-performance sports initiatives.
The comprehensive MoU provides a framework for collaboration in student and faculty exchange, sports science, coaching and technical exchange, athlete development, collaborative research, conferences, yoga education, indigenous and tribal sports research, curriculum development and community outreach. The partnership, to be coordinated by the School of Sports and Yogic Sciences, KIIT University, is expected to significantly strengthen institutional cooperation and contribute to the advancement of sports education and research in India.
