Mahaprabhu Blesses Devotees in Gajanana Besha on Snana Bedi; Lakhs Throng Bada Danda, Puri

Puri: Mahaprabhu is giving darshan to devotees in the famous Gajanana Besha or the Hati Besha, the elephant attire on the Snana Bedi, the bathing altar today on Snana Purnima.
Bada Danda, the grand road of Puri in Odisha has turned into a sea of humanity as lakhs of devotees and pilgrims gather to soak in the sacred experience.
On Debasnana Purnima today, the first major ritual of the Rath Yatra festival, Puri is witnessing a massive congregation of devotees.
As per the prescribed ritual schedule, the special rites of Debasnana Purnima began after Mangal Arpan at 5:05 AM. The Pahandi procession started at 5:15 AM and concluded by 7:25 AM.

Following various rituals, the deities were bathed with 108 pots of scented water brought by the servitors.
Lord Jagannath was bathed with 35 pots, Lord Balabhadra with 33, Devi Subhadra with 22, and Chakraraj Sudarshan with 18 pots of aromatic water.
In view of the massive crowd in Srikhetra, Puri is under high-tech security and digital surveillance. Quick Reaction Teams, Special Tactical Units, and 79 platoons of police force have been deployed. The Bada Danda and the entire Puri town are under CCTV watch, with monitoring from a special control room. Special traffic restrictions are also in place.
