Odisha Govt to sign MoU with Centre for implementation of Ayushman Bharat PM Jan Arogya Yojana today, watch

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government will sign an MoU with the central government on Ayushman Bharat PM Jan Arogya Yojana today. The MoU will be signed in Delhi in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Union Health Minister JP Nadda. Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Jual Oram will also be present on this occasion.

About three and a half crore people will benefit from the implementation of Ayushman yojana in Odisha. Under Ayushman PM Jan Arogya Yojana, every eligible family will get healthcare services worth Rs 5 lakh every year as well as cashless healthcare services. Secondary and tertiary care in hospitals are included in this scheme. That is, treatment facilities for serious diseases and complex diseases will be available.

Under this scheme facilities will be available in government hospitals and empaneled private hospitals. Beneficiaries will get cashless healthcare services in hospitals under PM-JAY. This scheme includes 1929 types of medical expenses. Medicines, diagnostics, medical fees, room charges, surgeon charges, OT and ICU expenses etc. are covered under Ayushman PM Jan Arogya yojana.

The benefits of this scheme are available in all empaneled government and private hospitals in the country. This means that patients can get treatment free of cost from anywhere in the country. The government will reimburse the treatment expenses of patients in private hospitals as well as government hospitals.
