13-year-old girl dies after venomous Krait bites hostel students in Jharkhand

New Delhi: The horrible accident happened when the poisonous kraken entered the hostel and bit the 13-year-old student, which resulted in her death.

She was one of the four girls who were bitten while sleeping by the reptile.

In the tragedy that had happened, the student, namely Varsha Oraon, died after being bitten by the poisonous serpent in the girls’ hostel of Sanvasira Higher Secondary Residential School.

As per the official source, after having their dinner, the girl students went off to bed around 11 pm, when a Kraken went into their room.

After biting Varsha Oraon, the krait also bit the other three girls, Anisha Oraon, Manisha Kumari, and Fulmania Oraon.

Upon hearing screams, teachers came running and carried the girls to Lohardaga Sadar Hospital for treatment.

On arrival, doctors declared Varsha dead, and Fulmania is in serious condition and was referred to RIMS Ranchi, while the two girls are being treated.

Authorities are probing the incident.
