Remake of Star Fox 64 remake announced

I sure didn't have this on my bingo card for a random Wednesday. Out of nowhere, Nintendo launched a surprise livestream promoting a hitherto-unheard of Star Fox project. There hasn't been an original Star Fox title since the dark days of the Wii U, after all, making this a massive surprise to drop out of the blue…

…And that's still the case! The announcement turned out to be what is, by my count, the third remake of 1997's Star Fox 64, putting the franchise in real danger of having more remakes than original titles.

Does Fox having realistic 4k uncanny-valley fur really enhance a game that's almost thirty years old that much? Who knows, but we'll find out for sure this summer when it launches on Switch 2.
