PM Modi addresses WHO Global Summit on traditional medicine
by GK NEWS SERVICE · Greater KashmirNew Delhi, Dec 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday addressed the closing ceremony of the Second WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, highlighting global consensus on strengthening research, regulation, and digital integration in traditional medicine.
PM Modi highlighted India’s leadership in the sector, citing the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine in Jamnagar, the launch of the Traditional Medicine Global Library, and the Delhi Declaration as key outcomes.
The Prime Minister also inaugurated the new WHO South-East Asia Regional Office in Delhi and reiterated the role of traditional medicine, yoga and evidence-based practices in global health and holistic well-being.
