Cardinal Santos Medical Center (CSMC) paved the way in promoting quality and affordable treatment for breast cancer with its newly-opened breast clinic and accreditation to PhilHealth’s Breast Cancer Z Benefit (Z Ben) package.
On August 29, 2024, PhilHealth awarded CSMC the Breast Cancer Z-Ben package, helping breast cancer patients with their financial burden when it comes to treating their severe medical conditions.
There are three hospitals in the National Capital Region that have such a benefit package, but CSMC is the first private hospital in the NCR to have this package. It is also the pioneer institution under the enhanced PhilHealth breast cancer Z Ben package, which increased the financial assistance of patients from P100,000 to P1.4 million.
With the awarded package to the institution, CSMC aims to accommodate more patients by giving outstanding care.
