Not everyone enjoys working from home

Only 6% of people now choose to work completely independently, with the majority stating that in-person interactions at work improve productivity and output, according to research, carried out by Spacemade. The study looked into the state of the workplace in the country and how important in-person connections are to the success of our work.

When we get stuck at work, over half of us find discussing the issue in-person with a colleague the most effective way of tackling it – preferably with a cup of tea or coffee.

Jonny Rosenblatt, co-founder of Spacemade said: “The importance of collaboration and in-person, meaningful connections cannot be understated, and our research underlines just that point. The fact that 81% of people claim that they feel a stronger sense of belonging and community when working with others, truly proves it value.

“Workplaces must be spaces that people can feel proud of, whether this is through its amenities or the experiences that they share with people."
