The final wish of Liam Payne has been disclosed following his tragic passing last week. The beloved One Direction member left fans worldwide in mourning after he tragically fell from the third floor of his hotel suite in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at the age of 31.

Since the devastating incident, poignant details about Liam's last moments in South America have come to light, including his touching final desire. Just over an hour before his untimely death, Liam expressed to a fan his deep affection for Buenos Aires and his aspiration to purchase a property there.

Diana Gauna, a devoted fan, had the opportunity to speak with her idol in the lobby of his boutique hotel in the city centre around 3pm last Wednesday. She was among friends hoping to see the star when she had this memorable encounter.

Recounting their conversation on the Argentinian TV show TN Central, an emotional Diana remembered: "Liam looked in good shape, not drunk or aggressive like they've been saying on social media. He approached us and spent quite a bit of time talking to us and telling us about his experiences in Buenos Aires, the places he'd been to and where he wanted to go. He said he loved the city and would like to buy a home here, that he loved the countryside around Buenos Aires."

She continued, sharing more intimate details: "Liam also told us during the conversation that he'd been to the countryside with his girlfriend, that on Sunday morning about 7am they'd gone out running together. He told us he was really enjoying Buenos Aires.", reports the Mirror.

Diana recounted her experience at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, noting she "began to see strange movements and a police patrol car and fire engine turned up". She expressed her shock upon learning that the father-of-one had been found dead, saying: "I never thought it was Liam because I had seen him just over an hour earlier and he seemed okay."

Overcome with emotion, she added: "Finding out someone is dead that you've just seen was really shocking. He was my idol. Liam spoke a lot about mental health and in his songs told us we are never alone. This is all very hard. As fans we are in a lot of pain."

Prosecutors have stated there's no evidence of third-party involvement in Liam's death, but investigations continue.

Argentine media reports suggest cocaine was found in Liam's system, with Infobae reporting that autopsy results showed traces of the drug. ABC News has reported that substances found included "pink cocaine," a mix of drugs such as MDMA, ketamine, methamphetamine, cocaine, benzodiazepine and crack.

Liam's devastated father, Geoff, who flew to Argentina just hours after his son's tragic death, has pledged to stay there until he can bring his son back to the UK. However, lead investigator into Liam's death, Prosecutor Andrés Esteban Madrea, has cautioned Geoff that it could be up to ten days before the post-mortem results are confirmed and he is allowed to repatriate Liam's body.
