Luzon to continue experiencing rain, cloudy weather
by Ghio Ong · philstarMANILA, Philippines — Most areas in Luzon will continue experiencing cloudy and rainy weather in the next days, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
The shear line will affect southern Luzon and will bring “cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms” over Bicol Region and the provinces of Quezon, Laguna, Batangas, Oriental and Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.
The rest of Luzon, especially Metro Manila and the provinces of Cavite, Rizal and Aurora, will be affected by the northeast monsoon and will have cloudy skies and light rains.
Meanwhile, Palawan, the Visayas and Mindanao can expect generally fair weather with chances of rainshowers or thunderstorms because of the easterly winds.
On the other hand, PAGASA has issued a gale warning over the seaboard of Batanes, warning that wave heights between 2.8 and 4.5 meters are expected.
The agency has not monitored any low-pressure area within and outside the Philippine area of responsibility.
