I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star GK Barry has opened up about a secret health issue she's been battling behind-the-scenes.

Ahead of arriving in Australia this week for the 2024 series, the 25-year-old revealed she had been suffering from tonsillitis and gut problems, sparking concerns from her manager.

Opening up on why she skipped the Pride Of Britain Awards after-party, she shared: "I've been so ill to the point where my manager got me a drip.

"Have you ever heard anything like it? It's giving LA. She said, 'This is enough now you're actually on the verge of death'."

After seeing pus down her throat, Grace sought medical help and was later given antibiotics for tonsillitis.

As she waited for the meds to take control, the influencer said she experienced gut problems all while having to do a live episode of Loose Women.

After her health grew more concerning, Grace's manager suggested a drip to get her back on track.

Not feeling the result she wanted however, the TikTok star added on her Saving Grace podcast: "I thought I'd get the drip and be like, 'Let's do the London marathon', we did the drip and I went for a nap. How does that work? So yeah I wouldn't suggest it."

While she is now back in good health, Grace said her manager had expressed concerns for her health in the jungle, particularly as a restricted diet of an average 600 calories awaits.

She added: "Physically, I've been feeding myself up though because my manager was like 'you're not lasting'.

"You get I think it's like 600 calories a day, she was like you need to eat up so you've got s**t to burn.

"So I've been eating everything, creams, Chinese take-out, I've been acting like I'm on death throw actually."

In a final word before signing off, Grace predicted how she'll cope in the jungle - and she doesn't have much hope.

"I hate animals, I don't sleep outside, I don't like not having my phone. I don't like flying.

"Why the f**k am I going to Australia? Do you know how mental that is?," she added, before asking fans not to vote for her to do the Bushtucker Trials.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! kicks off Sunday at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
