Jeremy Clarkson 'barely moveable' as TV star faces further health battles

Jeremy Clarkson was left "barely moveable" after suffering fresh health concerns at the age of 64. The Clarkson's Farm star recently opened up on the “life-saving heart procedure" he underwent after doctors informed the television presenter he had an “alarmingly high level” of cholesterol.

The revelation forced the former Top Gear star to overhaul his lifestyle, admitting he had no choice but to cut out “everything I like eating” and adopt a new regime, reports Gloucestershire Live. Writing in his column in The Sun, Clarkson said he must live in a “Liberal ­Democrat, holier-than-thou fog of weeds, seeds and yoga”.

The presenter has now revealed he's suffered a further health setback. Speaking to The Telegraph, he explained he fears he has a “slipped disc”. Despite suffering a suspected back injury, the star is hopeful of joining farmers as they protest against Sir Keir Starmer's government, as around 20,000 farmers are expected to protest Labour’s tax hikes on Tuesday.

And despite suffering from an injury and struggling to move, Clarkson hopes he will “get there somehow”. The presenter however doesn’t plan to address the rally. Farmers are hoping to persuade the Government to rethink its inheritance tax plans, which will see estates worth more than £1 million incur a 20 percent charge from April.

Farmers fear how this will impact passing down their businesses to the next generation. Over the weekend protesters gathered in Llandudno where Starmer was addressing the Welsh Labour conference. The Prime Minister said he would defend the Budget "all day long", saying it took "tough decisions that were necessary to stabilise our economy".

He said: "I will defend facing up to the harsh light of fiscal reality, defend tough decisions that were necessary to stabilise our economy, and I will defend protecting the payslips of working people, fixing the foundations of our economy, and investing in the future of Britain and the future of Wales, finally turning the page on austerity – once and for all."
