‘Bodies Bodies Bodies’ Writer to Pen ‘Single White Female’ Remake Starring Jenna Ortega & Taylor Russell

Sarah DeLappe (Bodies Bodies Bodies) has been tapped to write the screenplay for Single Female, a remake of 1992’s Single White Female, Deadline reports.

Jenna Ortega (“Wednesday”) and Taylor Russell (Bones and All) will star in the psychological thriller from Sony’s 3000 Pictures.

Stacey Sher (The Hateful Eight, Heretic) and Marisa Paiva are set to produce alongside Ortega and Russell.

Based on John Lutz’s 1990 novel SWF Seeks Same, Single White Female follows a woman advertising for a new roommate who finds that something very strange is going on with the tenant who decides to move in.

Directed by Barbet Schroeder and written by Don Roos, the surprise hit helped make stars out of Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
