Thousands without power in Northeast Ohio amid strong winds

According to FirstEnergy, more than 9,000 customers are without power as of 10 p.m. The utility’s outage map shows that the majority are in the following counties:

According to the Fox 8 weather team, wind gusts were reported between 40 and 50 mph throughout the day on Monday, depending on where you live.
A 55 mph wind gust was recorded in Lorain, and a 53 mph wind gust was recorded in Cleveland, according to meteorologist Alexis Walters.
