Once again, Bruno Mars claims the two biggest songs in the world. The pop superstar sits at No. 1 with “Apt.,” his collaboration with Blackpink singer Rosé, and No. 2 with “Die with a Smile” alongside Lady Gaga, on Billboard’s global charts. As millions of people around the world focus on those current smashes, the Grammy winner’s entire catalog is improving, as fans all over the planet investigate his past material and remember why they fell in love with him in the first place.

Mars fills seven spaces on both of Billboard’s charts that reflect worldwide listening. Three of those singles—nearly half of all his current placements on the tallies—don’t just climb, but reach new peaks as consumption of the tunes increases.

Among his three rising champions, “Locked Out of Heaven” is the highest-ranking. The lead single from his massively successful album Unorthodox Jukebox jumps nearly 100 spaces on the Billboard Global 200, pushing from No. 152 to No. 56. It experiences a similar surge on the Billboard Global Excl. US, where it moves from No. 113 to No. 43.

“That’s What I Like” is also growing by leaps and bounds, and it likewise hits a new high point on both of Billboard’s rankings that show what the world—and in the case of the Billboard Global Excl. US, the world minus America—is listening to. The 24K Magic single ascends from No. 195 to No. 61 on the Billboard Global 200, and from No. 170 to No. 55 on the Billboard Global Excl. US.

Finally, Mars’ breakout solo single is also bigger than ever on the two tallies. “Just the Way You Are” is still enticing audiences all over the world, as it soars from No. 155 to No. 75 on the Billboard Global 200. Over on the Billboard Global Excl. US, the same cut improves from No. 118 to No. 59.

Looking beyond simply his tracks that reach new peaks—and his top two smashes—Mars still claims even more spaces on the worldwide rankings. “When I Was Your Man” steps up on both of Billboard’s global charts. Meanwhile, “Uptown Funk” with Mark Ronson keeps at No. 192 on the Billboard Global 200, while it falls more than 10 slots on the Billboard Global Excl. US.

It’s not odd that some of Mars’ songs are climbing to new peaks on the global charts, as many of them were released long before the rankings existed, as they were introduced by Billboard in 2020. They have all reached the tallies before his latest takeover, but the success of both “Die with a Smile” and “Apt.” seems to have reintroduced him to many people, and perhaps even won him some new fans as well.
