LG Manoj Sinha Leads Anti-Drug Padyatra in Budgam

Budgam, May 5: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday led a padyatra in Budgam under the ‘Nasha Mukht Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan’, aimed at raising awareness against drug abuse and promoting a healthier society.

The padyatra saw enthusiastic participation from students, youth, civil society members, and officials, highlighting a collective resolve to combat substance abuse in the region.

Addressing the gathering, Sinha stressed the importance of community involvement in tackling the drug menace and urged the youth to stay away from narcotics while contributing to a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir.

He reiterated the administration’s commitment to intensify efforts under the campaign, ensuring strict action against drug peddlers alongside a focus on awareness, rehabilitation, and prevention.

The event concluded with participants taking a pledge to support the campaign and work collectively towards building a safer and healthier society.
