Make Friends Tallinn

BlaBla Language Exchange & Make Friends is a free-flow mingle for anyone up for meeting new people, practising languages and having a good chat, minus the awkward structured stuff. Forget fixed tables and stiff introductions – just conversations in English, Estonian or whatever language you and the person opposite happen to have in common. Fancy practising something a bit more niche? Just ask the organisers, or scan the room for a fellow participant who speaks it.

Tallinn Food fair

Unibet Arena, Tallinn

From Wednesday 23 September, to Thursday 24 September

Tallinn FoodFair is Estonia’s number one trade fair for food professionals and it attracts over 5,000 industry visitors each year — including hundreds from neighbouring countries — bringing together the who’s who of hotels, restaurants, catering services, retailers, importers, producers and beyond under one roof for two days of business, discovery and professional exchange. Alongside the exhibition floor, the programme includes seminars for HoReCa, food industry, retail and school catering professionals, as well as product competitions and culinary industry contests where the best in the field go up against each other in front of a professional audience. Access is by invitation only, issued by exhibitors and the fair is open exclusively to trade visitors aged 18 and over. Not open to the general public.

Victor Patrascan Stand up comedy

Salme Kultuurikeskus, Tallinn

Thursday 24 September, from 8pm

Victor Patrascan: The Biggest Problem in the World brings Europe’s self-described comedy nomad and rebel comedian-philosopher to Tallinn for a live show that features fresh material built around politics, culture, and the specific absurdity of trying to make sense of modern life, with unscripted moments and the kind of humour that tends to stay with you well after the laughter has settled. Victor is not going for cheap laughs — he is looking for the truth inside the chaos, which turns out to be funnier and more unsettling in equal measure. He loves talking to the audience, but only to the ones who want to join in — the front rows are safe, which is a reassurance not every comedian thinks to offer.

Researchers’ Night

Energia avastuskeskus ja planetaarium, Tallinn

Friday, 25 September, from 6pm

Researchers’ Night 2026 takes place just beside the Energy Discovery Centre in Tallinn’s city centre — and the theme is energy in its broadest possible sense, from food and ideas to solar panels and oil shale. The evening opens with a science fair and food street, before moving through a packed three-hour programme that includes Aare Baumer’s electric theatre, TalTech hydrogen student organisation TiVo’s masterclasses on hydrogen and its applications, a guided historical tour of Tallinn’s electrification led by Elektrilevi engineer Raivo Rebane through the Old Town and Kadriorg, a citizen science garden experiment reveal, an environmental tour led by Kadrin Pintson, drone football, and a solutions laboratory building an energy city. The evening culminates with a live concert by ALIKA and her band on the main stage — at which point the official announcement of next year’s theme, Researchers’ Night 2027: Health, will also be made. The event is free for all but requires registration in advance.

James Hype live

Kruiisiterminal, Tallinn

Saturday, 26 September from 11pm

James Hype comes to Tallinn and if you have seen him before you already know what that means. If you have not, here is the short version: a British DJ and producer who has taken over clubs and festivals across the world with relentless live sets and tracks like Ferrari and More Than Friends — the kind of show where the energy in the room builds from the first minute and does not let up until the last. Put the date in the calendar, bring your friends, and meet us on the dance floor.
