2025/26 Ghana Premier League: Week 22 Match Report- Bibiani Gold Stars 3-0 Basake Holy Stars
· GhanaSoccernetBibiani Gold Stars closed the gap at the top of the Ghana Premier League table with a convincing victory over Basake Holy Stars on Sunday at Dun’s Park.
Razack Sanou opened the scoring in the 16th minute before Arthur Justice doubled the lead six minutes later to put the hosts firmly in control. Kumi Attah sealed the win in the 70th minute to cap a dominant afternoon for the home side.
The result moves Gold Stars closer to the summit, reducing the gap to five points after leaders Medeama were held to a draw by Aduana FC. The win also strengthens Gold Stars’ push in the top four as the title race gathers pace.
For Basake Holy Stars, the defeat leaves them hovering just above the relegation zone. Despite their recent win over Berekum Chelsea, they were unable to cope with Gold Stars’ intensity and attacking threat in Bibiani.
Gold Stars will next travel to face Heart of Lions as they look to maintain pressure on the leaders, while Basake Holy Stars return home to take on Swedru All Blacks in what could prove a crucial fixture in their fight to avoid relegation.
