Basake Holy Stars racked up a convincing 2-0 victory over Aduana FC on Wednesday to make it an impressive 11th consecutive home win at the AAK II Sports Complex.

The hosts shook off their defeat to FC Samartex 1996 to beat the 'Fire Boys', thanks to goals from Jacob Boazee and Prince Tweneboah in either half.

Boazee opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 34th minute, while Tweneboah’s 83rd-minute strike sealed the victory after a dominant display.

The win moves Holy Stars into 9th place with 43 points in the league standings, while Aduana slip to 6th place on 46 points.

The visitors’ title hopes are now over, but they will aim to bounce back when they travel to the capital to face Hearts of Oak in their next match.
