James Marsden Set to Star in Apple TV Thriller Series DISAVOWED From IRON MAN Writers
by Jessica Fisher · GeekTyrantJames Marsden (X-Men, Sonic the Hedgehog, Paradise) is set to star in the thriller series Disavowed at Apple TV.
The logline for the show states that it follows “legendary CIA Case Officer Brad Griffin (Marsden), who is abruptly fired in the middle of a global hunt for an elusive assassin responsible for killing his colleague.
“Disgraced and outcast from the world of intelligence, all bets are off when Brad decides to go after the 15 million dollar federal bounty on the assassin’s head.”
The show is based on an original idea from Iron Man writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, who also serve as executive producers. Tom Spezialy and Marsden will also executive produce.
The role keeps Marsden at Apple, where he recently joined the second season of the hit series Your Friends & Neighbors in the role of Owen Ashe.
His other recent TV credits include the popular Hulu drama Paradise and the Amazon series Jury Duty, both of which earned him Emmy nominations.
He will reprise his X-Men franchise role of Cyclops in the upcoming Marvel movie Avengers: Doomsday, set to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
