Ex-AGF, Malami condoles El-Rufai over mother’s death

Former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has expressed condolences to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, over the death of his mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai.

DAILY POST had earlier reported that Hajiya Umma died on Friday, March 27, 2026, in Cairo, Egypt, where she had been receiving medical care for age-related health complications.

In a statement, Malami said, “On behalf of myself and my family, I extend my heartfelt condolences to you and the entire El-Rufai family over this profound loss.”

He described the death as a painful and irreplaceable loss, praying that Almighty Allah grants the deceased Aljannatul Firdaus and gives the family the strength to bear the loss.

Malami also assured El-Rufai of his prayers and support during the period of mourning.
