Starfield PS5 version listed on two European websites
by Tuffcub · tsaLast time anyone asked, Microsoft said Bethesda’s Starfield would not be coming to PS5, something they reiterated a little later.
Things have moved on since then, and there have been multiple reports that Bethesda had resurrected the PS5 version of the game, which had previously existed before Microsoft bought the company and cancelled it. Physical pre-orders Starfield PS5 have now shown up on two European websites, one in Romania and the other in Portugal.
The game is listed with a release date of April 7th, which ties in a leak from the reliable Dealabs, which also stated the game would release on that day. They also say the full reveal will happen on March 17th, this coming Tuesday so we should not have long to wait before the official reveal. In fact, Bethesda have Tweeted that they will have “more to share” about Starfield this coming week.
It’s fair to say that Starfield did not make quite as much impact as other Bethesda games, and so far has had only one major expansion, 2024’s Shattered Space. There have been patches that have added extra features and improvements, but nothing huge since then.
In a recent interview Inon Zur, the composer for Starfield, has said “there’s always things to look for in the future” regarding the franchise. He also suggested ” people were just not ready for” Starfield when it was released. “Todd will stay on course on Starfield. Starfield will eventually become something that will be legendary. I have no doubt. It’s just a matter of time,” he added.
Starfield has a ‘generally favourable’ score on Metacritic with an average of 83% on Xbox Series X|S and 85% on PC.
