Innovative products on display at higher education expo at Cusat

Innovative products developed by students of various universities were showcased at an exhibition at the Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) on Monday (January 13).

The event was part of the international higher education conclave to be held on the campus on January 14 and 15.

R. Bindu, Minister for Higher Education, inaugurated the exhibition. As many as 33 stalls were put up as part of the exhibition. It featured research products developed by students of Cusat, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala University, Kannur University, Kerala Agricultural University, APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, Kerala Digital University, and other colleges and institutions, it said.

The products on display include ultra-safe electric scooters, bicycles, and motorcycles, medical vending machines for facilitating medicine distribution in hospitals, waste segregation and processing equipment, a device for reusing blood lost by women during childbirth, a smart traffic management system, natural medicines for wound healing, and a solar power-based coconut drying machine, according to the release.
