Vilamarathoor water supply scheme nearing completion

The Vilamarathoor water supply scheme, which aims to ensure regular water to Mettupalayam residents, is 65 per cent complete. The scheme, executed at a cost of ₹220 crore, was launched in March and will be completed in another three months. The project fetches 10 lakh litres of water, approximately 13 mld, through an eight-kilometer tunnel.
