Collector conducts surprise inspection at KGBV Yadiki
by The Hindu Bureau · The HinduAnantapur Collector Dr. V. Vinod Kumar asked teachers to impart quality education to girl students in order to excel in academics. The Collector conducted a surprise inspection at the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) in Yadiki mandal on Wednesday and interacted with the students and teachers.
During his visit, the Collector enquired about the health conditions of the students. He asked the concerned doctors to conduct medical tests of the students appropriately and to maintain a record of their health status. Mr. Vinod Kumar also asked the teachers to promote sporting activities among students as it would keep them healthy.
Following his interaction with the students, the Collector spoke to the teachers and enquired about the problems they faced. He asked the District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO) and District Education Officer (DEO) to prepare an action plan for to conduct periodical health check-ups every month.
When the officials spoke to the Collector about the drainage problem in the premises and the requirement of a fund of ₹6.20 lakh to take up works, he asked them to do the same with the funds available at the mandal level.
