Amanda Holden forced to strip off naked after suffering 'horrific' conditions

Amanda Holden is cycling her way from Cornwall to London in order to raise money for the Global Make Some Noise charity - but she has been left aching from dire conditions

Amanda Holden was forced to strip off after getting uncomfortably wet during her charity bike ride.

The 53-year-old presenter is cycling her way from Cornwall to London to raise funds for Global’s Make Some Noise charity - which in turn makes donations to "brilliant small charities across the UK". The star set off on her 250 mile cycle challenge this week - and unfortunately the weather has been far from kind on her.

The star has faced temperatures that have struggled to make it into double figures, and the elements have been cruel - with relentless rain falling down upon her. The star has, at least, hoped that the foul weather conditions might inspire others to donate more money to her on her cause.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the star shared video footage of herself peddling through a rain storm and added a caption stating: "It’s coming down in stair rods ... please dig deep for @globals_make_some_noise!" And she has also revealed she found relief from the bitter conditions by wrapping up in a warm towel after taking off her soaked clothes.

She told The Sun: “My thumbs are aching, it’s really weird. I’m currently sitting here naked with nothing but a towel around me because the weather is just horrific. Monday was the worst for the hills, but now it’s the weather. My wet gear is on a radiator drying in this gorgeous hotel called The Chapel. I had an egg bake for breakfast and two hash browns and I’ve just had some butternut squash soup before I go back out.”

Speaking about the charitable venture, Amanda previously said: “I can't quite believe that I'm going to be cycling over 250 miles from my mum's house in Cornwall to London for Global's Make Some Noise – it's a massive challenge! I'm told it's not going to be particularly flat so I'm gonna have buns of steel by the end of this! Knowing that every mile I cover will help raise funds for those local projects providing a lifeline directly to those who need it most is what will keep me going.”

Last week, singer Perrie Edwards wished Amanda well on her journey - by gifting her some survival essentials. Appearing on her Heart Breakfast Show, the former Little Mix star gifted her a hamper of treats, and said: "I think you'll be excited about this…it’s bum butter. Nobody wants a sore saddle... And there’s a ‘Happy Bottom’ mini because you can never have too many happy bums."

With Amanda in stunned silence, Perrie went on: “And some, which I think is arguably even more important than the bum butter, I’ve got you some nipple covers because there’s nothing worse, do you know what I mean?” Sounding stunned, Amanda then asked: “Are they waterproof? Premium nipple covers! Look at those! That is a very large nipple cover!” Perrie then insisted: “Premium! Only the best for you Amanda.”
