GK Barry had to endure the Vile Volcano to find special stars that would win camp meals in the first voted for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! trial that left viewers wincing

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! viewers were all left saying the same thing about GK Barry as she squealed her way through the first voted trial of the season.

The 25-year-old TikTok and Podcast star is one of the original ten stars of the 2024 season of the long-running ITV reality show and was voted to undertake the first trial of the season following the premiere on Sunday night. GK - whose real name is Grace Keeling - was told she had to face the Vile Volcano.

She was given a pep talk from fellow campmates before heading down to see Ant and Dec to start the challenge. Explaining the Bushtucker Trial, Ant & Dec reveal that deep inside a volcano structure were a series of caves and tunnels which she had to navigate in order to find hidden stars.

GK had 10 minutes to find all 10 stars - but a range of animals were also in the confined space. At the klaxon, GK started the trial while Ant and Dec shouted motivational quotes such as: “What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.” Once in the volcano, she was met with snakes, spiders, rats and other creepy crawlies. But the Saving Grace host was screaming and swearing so much that Ant and Dec despaired: “We’re going to need to bleep a lot of this!”

While on her path, a giant spider landed on her helmet and refused to move away - leaving even Ant and Dec in shock. Once completed, GK returned to camp with an impressive 9 out of 10 stars meaning the contestants could feast that night. Her fellow celebrities were delighted by the result and chanted “GK! GK! GK!” at her after she returned.

But viewers watching from home all had a range of reactions after watching the podcaster suffer for her supper - with many loving the fact she compared herself to Lara Croft. Taking to X, one fan quoted the star and wrote: "'I'm like Lara Croft but paler' I love GK honestly #imaceleb." Another remarked: "Lara Croft, but paler… Grace is box office. #ImACeleb." And a further fan laughed: "IM WHEEZING".

But as the trial went on, some fans were overwhelmed by the endless stream of scream from GK. One wrote: "Christ, can’t be dealing with this screaming all the while #ImACeleb." And another wrote: "Guys I think grace is disassociating #ImACeleb."

Viewers were also impressed by the way the star dealt with some of her fears - striking up pleasant conversation with rats when she was confronted by a pack of them. One viewer typed on X: "GK asking how the rats day is going is sending me #imaceleb." And another wrote: “hello everyone how’s your day going”. And other sympathised, with one fan typing: "Omg this would be my worst nightmare #ImACeleb."
