ITV I'm A Celebrity stars salaries 'revealed' in full as Coleen Rooney sets huge record
The stars of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! can get through all the gross bushtucker trials Ant and Dec can throw at them if they think of the huge fees they are earning for three weeks on the show
by Seamus Duff · The MirrorThe cast of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! might look like they have a miserable time enduring bushtucker trials - but at least they are paid handsomely for their torment.
The 2024 season of the long-running ITV reality show has attracted a range of stars - from a TikTok sensation, a dancing queen, a boxing champ, an A-list WAG to chart topping singer. Fans of the series may be wondering just how much each of the contestants earns during their time on the show - and it seems that fees can range from the tens of thousands to over a million.
Much has been made of the fact that Coleen Rooney was offered a deal in excess of Nigel Farage's reported £1.5 million fee to star on the 2023 season in order to secure her for the current season. And subsequent reports have suggested ITV will be waiting on the other side of the jungle bridge to offer her a further £1 million in order to secure her as a network talent.
Other stars are earning far less in comparison - but every single contestant is earning at least almost double the UK annual salary for their maximum three week stint in the jungle. No Strings Public Relations founder Riley Gardiner has shared her estimations for exactly how much each celebrity has commanded for the 2024 show.
She told OK! magazine: "The fee celebs get paid obviously depend heavily on public interest, recent media relevance, and the unique appeal they’ll bring to the jungle – plus how good they are at negotiating." Singling out Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough as the lowest earner of the season, Riley still estimates he would have been offered £60,000 for this time, and explained: "While he’s not a household name yet, he’s personable and could bring a light-hearted energy to the group. A lower fee might be realistic, but he could surprise everyone with his charisma."
Riley has predicted that TV and radio host Melvin Odoom is earning between £60,000 and £90,000 for his time on the show, while former boxer Barry McGuigan is making between £70,000 and £100,000. Next on the pay ladder is Loose Women star Jane Moore who the PR expert expects is earning between £80,000 and £120,000 - while Coronation Street star Alan Halsall is tipped to be earning between £100,000 and £150,000.
Alan's fee is expected to be matched by TikTok sensation GK Barry, whose real name is Grace Keeling, and who many TV fans might not even recognise as she is famous mainly for her social media presence and Saving Grace Podcast show. Riley predicts that McFly star Danny Jones could also be earning between £100,000 to £150,000 - but thinks N-Dubz icon Tulisa Contostavlos would be earning more at between £150,000 to £200,000.
Dancing On Ice judge Oti Mabuse is expected to be earning between £100,000 and £200,000 - but Riley thinks Coleen could be arning a lot less than the £1.5 million she's been reported to be pocketing. She said: "She’s riding a wave of media interest with the whole 'Wagatha Christie' saga, so the show would need to dig deep into its pockets to bring her in - think £500,000 to £600,000, at least. Coleen’s public image is strong right now, and people are genuinely curious about her, so she’d definitely pull in a lot of viewers."
