Tesla (TSLA) warns Roadster event could be delayed due to weather in Texas

Tesla has informed attendees that there may be a need to reschedule the Roadster event.

Nearly nine years after Tesla revealed the second generation Roadster, the company is set to host a showcase event for buyers this week in Waco, Texas. However, those plans may be in jeopardy due to inclement weather forecasted in the area. Tesla has informed attendees that the company may need to reschedule the event if these weather concerns come to fruition.

Tesla sent a message to confirmed attendees of the October 1 Tesla Roadster event to provide the update. “Since this event features a unique experience that must be held outdoors, there is a possibility we may need to reschedule due to weather,” the message reads. “We are continuing to monitor weather reports and will reach out with additional details as soon as possible.” 

The weather report for Waco, Texas, includes potential thunderstorms over the three-day stretch from September 30 to October 2. The report also warns of potential flash flooding.
