Could hyperbaric treatment offer another option for a wound that will not heal, recovery after a stroke, or Lyme disease? This Monday in Crown Heights, the New York Center for Hyperbaric Medicine invites you to explore established and emerging treatments and speak directly with experts about conditions affecting you or your family.

Featured speaker Sarah Dafner, founder and CEO of OxyChai, turned her family’s crisis into a mission to help others. After cardiac arrest left her three-month-old son with severe brain damage, she recalls his seizures decreasing and his smile returning within 20 hyperbaric sessions. She went on to establish OxyChai in the UK, bringing new applications of hyperbaric medicine to thousands of patients with conditions ranging from difficult-to-heal wounds to PTSD and infertility.

Inspired by international advances, including pioneering research in Israel by Professor Shai Efrati at the Sagol Center, the New York Center for Hyperbaric Medicine is developing a physician-led facility in Brooklyn featuring two state-of-the-art multi-patient hyperbaric chambers, a dedicated wound-care clinic, and additional specialized services with an emphasis on the patient experience. Medical Director Dr. Afshin Shahkoohi brings over 27 years of clinical experience, is board-certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics, and holds additional certification in hyperbaric medicine. His approach combines conventional and holistic medicine, focusing on the underlying causes of illness and supporting the body’s natural ability to heal.

Also speaking is Asher Berko, CHT, of Avvira in Monsey, who will share insights from nearly 2,000 treatments, including encouraging results in stroke recovery, Lyme disease, hearing loss, brain inflammation, PTSD, and recovery after cancer treatment.

Bring your questions for an open discussion and audience Q&A. Learn what treatment involves, who may benefit, and whether it is worth exploring for you or a loved one.

Join us Monday, November 2, at 8:30 PM, at Itchke’s Shtiebel, 612 Maple St., Brooklyn, NY 11203.

Refreshments will be served.
