The Rebbe entrusted the Siyum HaRambam HaOlami to its legendary chairman, Rabbi Shmuel M. Butman, of blessed memory.
Throughout the years, Rabbi Gutnick stood as a good friend, offering his support with dignity, sincerity, and unwavering hiskashrus which reflects the bond of a Chossid with the Rebbe.
At certain Siyumim when Rabbi Butman called on him, Rabbi Gutnick was the primary sponsor of the Siyum celebration.
This year, Rabbi Gutnick graciously and outstandingly contributed to the worldwide success of the Siyum HaRambam celebration.
Thanks to this year’s Siyum the study and awareness of Rambam have successfully reached unprecedented heights, creating a global Kiddush Hashem — a gift of nachas to the Rebbe.
The Siyum Harambam is dear to the Rebbe. As the Rebbe wrote to Rabbi Butman regarding the Siyum HaRambam HaOlami, that the word Rambam stands for: רבות מופתי בשמחת משנה תורה — “Abundant wonders in the joyous celebration of Mishneh Torah.”
May Hashem bless Rabbi Meyer Gutnick with good health, long life, abundant success in all his endeavors, and a year filled with “abundant wonders” and blessings. May Reb Meyer continue to bring nachas to the Rebbe.
May we merit to see the fulfillment of the concluding words of Rambam:
“ומלאה הארץ דעה את ה׳ כמים לים מכסים” –
“The world will be filled with the knowledge of Hashem as the waters cover the sea,”
with the coming of Moshiach now!
