1,000 Bochurim Take Joint Hachlata Following Sydney Attack
Over 1,000 Bochurim from Yeshivos around the world gathered on Thursday for a powerful global Kinus Hisorerus, joining together in Tefillah and Chizuk, as well as a joint Hachlata, on behalf of their fellow Bochurim Leibel Lazaroff and Yanky Super, and all those in need of a Refuah Shleimah.

The call came in the wake of the tragic and shocking attack during a Chanukah celebration in Sydney, which deeply shook Chassidim and Yidden worldwide. In response, Bochurim united to strengthen one another, fortify their hiskashrus, and channel the pain into action.
The event was emceed by Rabbi Yosef Lustig, Menahel of Yeshivas Dovid Shlomo of New Haven, who noted the extraordinary achdus of Bochurim joining simultaneously from North America, Europe, Eretz HaKodesh, South America, and Australia itself.
Divrei hisorerus were shared by Rabbi Chaim Schapiro, Menahel of Tomchei Temimim of Morristown, and Rabbi Asher Farkash, Mashpia in Yeshiva Gedolah of Argentina. The speakers offered inspiration, strength, and perspective, reminding the Bochurim of the immense power of their Tefillah, of their Torah learning, and of their responsibility to uplift one another during challenging times.
Together, the more than 1,000 participants recited Tehillim, led by members of Leibel’s and Yanky’s families.
As a practical hachlata and zechus for a complete Refuah, Bochurim worldwide undertook to learn the Rebbe’s Maamar “Zos Chanukah 5735 (תשל״ה)”, turning the inspiration of the Kinus into continued action.
One Menahel commented, “The gathering served as a moving reminder of the deep bond shared by Bochurim everywhere—standing together, davening together, and strengthening one another with true chassidishe achdus.”
