KUCHING (April 5): Bernama photographer Razali Nordin, who has been battling health issues, received a visit from Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Amar Fadillah Yusof on Sunday.

Razali, 54, had been confined to his home in Taman Sukma, Petra Jaya here since Ramadan due to his deteriorating health.

He was later admitted to Sarawak General Hospital last Friday (April 3) following concerns raised by fellow media practitioners.

The admission process was expedited with the assistance of Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian.

Razali is currently facing several health complications, including heart valve issues, gallstones, kidney problems and diabetes.

During the visit, Fadillah was accompanied by his wife Datin Amar Ruziah Mohd Tahir. He advised Razali to take care of his health, adhere to medical advice and take his medication as prescribed.

He also reminded the public and members of the media to practise a healthy lifestyle.

Among those who have shown concern is Deputy Minister (Corporate Affairs, Information and Sarawak Public Communications Unit) Datuk Abdullah Saidol, who has been keeping in close contact and checking on Razali’s condition daily.

On Friday, the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) also assisted in transporting Razali to the hospital via ambulance in a humanitarian effort.
