Health talk, free health screening at Farley Supermarket Kuching this Sunday

KUCHING (Oct 10): A health talk and free health screening will be held at Farley Supermarket Kuching here this Sunday, from 10am until 5pm.

The programme is co-organised by Saberkas Kota Sentosa and the respective Lions clubs of Kota Samarahan and Kota Sentosa, in collaboration with Timberland Medical Centre, Whoops Concept and Farley Supermarket.

“It is aimed at promoting community health and well-being. This initiative aims to raise awareness about various health issues and provide essential health services to the public,” the event organising committee said in a statement yesterday.

The event will feature informative talks by eye specialist Dr Lo Sheau Kang and physician Dr Yeoh Cheng Wooi from Timberland Medical Centre, covering topics such as diabetes management and vision healthcare.

The public will also benefit from free health screenings, including blood pressure checks, blood glucose testing, dental healthcare checks, hearing assessments, and body mass index assessments, among others.

Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap will be the guest of honour at the launch.
