SARIKEI (Sept 21): Julau MP Datuk Larry Sng has channelled funds to Pakan Health Clinic for the purchase of medical equipment, towards ensuring that the quality of healthcare services for the local community would be maintained.

According to him, this initiative is meant to ensure that health clinics in the rural areas would be sufficiently equipped with the necessary facilities, so as to meet the healthcare needs of the villagers.

“We will constantly strive to improve medical facilities in the rural areas.

“Among the equipment purchased from the donation are chairs and computers for the X-ray unit,” he told reporters when met after conducting inspections on Pakan Health Clinic and Pakan District Office here, on Thursday.

Sng, also chairman of the Malaysian Timber Industry Board, hoped that the donation would be able to help address issues faced by the clinic.

On the inspection to Pakan District Office, the MP wanted to find out the current and future plans to be implemented in the district.

Additionally on the same day, Sng also visited Rumah Bidu at Batu 13 of Jalan Engkamop near here, and presented Project Mesra Rakyat grants totalling RM67,700 to several local organisations.
