The Physiotherapy Centre, a dedicated North West rehabilitation provider based in Mossley Hill, South Liverpool and Crosby, North Liverpool, is partnering with Liverpool Hope University to elevate its services through apprenticeship opportunities.

Serving North West communities, the Centre provides essential services, helping patients recover from injuries, overcome pain and achieve optimal health. These services include specialist musculoskeletal expertise, highly sought and in demand women's and men's health clinics and dedicated pilates studios.

Committed to excellence, The Physiotherapy Centre is actively investing in its existing team, supporting staff to upskill to degree level in collaboration with Liverpool Hope University.

Combining work, family and study

The partnership enables learners to pursue a new career without sacrificing employment or family life.

Apprentice Roberta Galiano, a qualified Pilates Instructor with a young family, is now training to become a fully qualified physiotherapist through the apprenticeship route.

"I’d always wanted to be a physiotherapist, but full-time study and losing my income wasn’t an option with a young child to provide for," says Roberta. "The degree apprenticeship at Liverpool Hope is a life-changing pathway. I apply what I learn immediately, keep earning a salary and I’ll graduate with a debt-free degree and professional status. It’s the perfect way to upskill."

By enrolling staff, The Physiotherapy Centre is retaining valuable employees while equipping its workforce with the advanced clinical skills needed to meet growing local healthcare demands.

The value of highly skilled physiotherapy provision

Across the region, skilled physiotherapists are vital to public health and the smooth running of private and NHS services. Investment in highly trained practitioners is key to improving patient outcomes and supporting regional wellbeing.

Apprenticeships provide a sustainable model for building this essential workforce. The route enables employers to retrain valuable existing staff and access new talent with more than 61% of current apprentices stating they would have been unable to pursue a career in physiotherapy without the apprenticeship option.*

Apprenticeships at Liverpool Hope University

Organisations like the Physiotherapy Centre recognise that providing excellent patient care requires investing in staff expertise.

The physiotherapy apprenticeship programme at Liverpool Hope University offers a structured pathway for healthcare support workers and similar professionals to gain a nationally recognised, degree-level qualification while they continue to work.

This ensures learning is immediately applied, creating a direct, measurable impact on patient recovery.

The programme's quality is assured by its accreditation by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and its approval by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the statutory regulator. This guarantees apprentices graduate with the professional standards required for registration and practice.
