The Brushes with Death DLC is a winding, mysterious story quest that sees you team up with a rather enigmatic painter. How to start the Brushes with Death DLC
To begin the Brushes with Death quest, you'll need to have completed the For Whom the Bell Tolls quest and have access to Trosky Castle. If you attempt to find the Brushes with Death quest location before this, you will be met with nothing.
There will be a purple map marker to the southeast of Trosky Castle if you're able to access the Brushes with Death DLC. As you approach the map marker, a cutscene will play, thus beginning the DLC quest. After a brief introduction and a fight with some wolves, you're on your way.
