SpaceX adds 27 satellites to its growing Starlink constellation
by Mark Moran · UPIDec. 14 (UPI) -- SpaceX landed its 550th reusable fuel booster rocket following a late night Falcon 9 launch from Vandenberg Space Force Station in California Saturday.
The mission added another 27 Starlink V2 Mini satellites to SpaceX's growing fleet of broadband Internet satellites in low-Earth orbit. It lifted off at 9:49 p.m. PST.
About 8.5 minutes following the launch, the fuel booster, B1093, landed on the SpaceX drone ship "Of Course I Still Love You," stationed in the Pacific Ocean.
It was the 170th landing on this drone ship, and the 451st overall SpaceX drone landing.
The Saturday night launch was the ninth time this fuel booster was used to launch a SpaceX rocket, two of which were for the Space Development Agency as well as six Starlink satellite missions.
