Greater amounts of red meat can lead to more cognitive decline, study says
by Susan Kreimer · UPINEW YORK, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- Eating greater amounts of red meat -- especially processed bacon, sausage and bologna -- increases the likelihood of cognitive decline and dementia, a new study suggests.
The study, funded by the National Institutes of Health, was published Wednesday in Neurology, the journal of the American Academy of Neurology.
